To book a court you will require a login and password provided by the Club Manager.
To access the club and activate the court lights requires a key tag which is provided as part of a membership package.
All court sessions are for 40 minutes and games can be played art any time of the day or night.
A booking computer is available in the downstairs foyer of the club adjacent to the courts. This computer is programmed to remain operating in a read only mode so participants can confirm the court they are on. Bookings can be made on this computer by logging off the read only mode and logging in under a personal login.
PEAK TIMES
Monday to Friday Commences 5:00pm Concludes 9:00pm Periodic activities that require peak time courts to be pre booked include:
Senior Interclub Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7pm
Tournaments Thursday & Friday from 6:30
Friday Club Nights – all afternoon/evening from 3:30pm (Juniors then Seniors)
COURT BOOKINGS
When court bookings are made on the booking system for a peak time court, both player names are to be entered. If there is an issue selecting your opponent’s name, select “Club Manager” – under surname of “Manager” – and advise the Club Manager of the problem. This can be done via a note in the visitor’s fee box or contacting the Club Manager directly.
A court may be booked up to 7 days in advance, provided either member hasn’t more than 1 other booking in peak time during the following 7 days.
VISITORS
Visitors, including those playing with members, cannot have peak time courts booked in advance. However, at the commencement of the peak period on any given day, a visitor may play if a court is available during the peak period of that day e.g. if at 5pm a court is available at 7pm on the same weekday, then it may be reserved for a game with a visitor. The court may be booked with the opponent listed as “Club Manager” (“Visitor” won’t work for peak time courts).
When a club member plays a visitor, it is the responsibility of the club member to complete a visitor’s fee envelope with the appropriate fee inside and deliver to the visitor’s fee slot.
CANCELLATIONS (especially during times of high activity)
If circumstances change resulting in a booked court not being required, it is the responsibility of all listed participants to ensure the court is cancelled. If it is not practical to do this on line, a phone call to the club on 232 8200 will suffice with a message left if the club is unattended. Failure to cancel a court could lead to a fee (equivalent to the visitor's fee) being imposed as a penalty.
JUNIORS Juniors cannot play a senior during peak times unless:
The junior currently plays senior interclub.
A court is available at the commencement of peak time for that particular day.
BLOCK BOOKINGS Block bookings are not allowed except under certain circumstances.
Two courts booked at the same time or two courts booked consecutively both constitute “block booking”.
Courts shall be block booked “as an event” for club nights, interclub and tournaments. All block bookings for school coaching, outside groups (eg scouts), team trainings etc will require the prior approval of the Club Manager.
PRACTICE The practice facility is for the sole purpose of individuals practicing alone outside peak times. It may not be used for playing against children, visitors or other club members.
IF THERE IS ONLY ONE KEY AVAILABLE If a legitimate reason exists for only one key being available for a two person game (eg opponent has misplaced their key tag), the visitor function is to be used to activate the lights and a note is to be placed in the slot briefly explaining the reason.
COACHING Coaching by coaches in peak time is only for club members unless pre arranged with the Club Manager.
ATTIRE Non Marking shoes must be worn while playing squash. Suitable clothing must also be worn including a shirt. A selection of playing gear is available for purchase from the Club Manager.
